This painting was inspired by my youth growing up in suburbia, in contrast to my adulthood living in the city. The contrast is so incredibly sharp, that I like to imagine that at some point, along the sidewalk of endless identical homes, comes a cut-off. A point where the path of suburbia suddenly ends, and what is beyond is yet to be manufactured.
